Teijin Aramid gearing up for Enforce Tac 2022

Sustainability and circularity to take center stage at leading security and ballistics trade fair

Arnhem, the Netherlands, March 1, 2022 – Teijin Aramid is gearing up for Enforce Tac 2022: the leading European trade fair for security experts involved in fields such as law enforcement, justice, border patrol, customs and the armed forces. The event takes place in Nuremberg Germany during 1-2 March. As well as showcasing the protective benefits of its Twaron® and Endumax® ballistic protection materials, Teijin Aramid sees Enforce Tac as an opportunity to “close the material loop” by connecting with like-minded partners in the field of ballistics and other protective solutions.

Superior materials for superior performance

Teijin Aramid’s Twaron® para-aramid and Endumax® ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) solutions help protect hard-working men and women against a multitude of threats – from bullets and fragments to knives and sharp objects. The materials offer outstanding mechanical qualities that support an extensive range of body armor and protective solutions, including ballistic vests and helmets worn by military, law enforcement and other security professionals.

Thanks to their high strength and excellent energy absorption qualities, Twaron® and Endumax® deliver an outstanding armor protection level, including extremely effective early bullet deformation. The superior strength-to-weight ratio of the materials also helps minimize the weight of body armor and protective equipment, for better wearer comfort and mobility. Furthermore, ballistic materials made using Teijin Aramid’s solutions enable stable performance even after significant mechanical stress, providing users with reliable body armor that stands the test of time.

All protection, no waste

Teijin Aramid's high-performance materials are developed with one objective in mind: maximizing protection. And now the company is extending its responsibility to protecting the environment, too. The approach builds on Teijin Aramid’s long-standing recycling program, which has been successfully deployed across different industries for more than 20 years. Aramids are collected from Teijin Aramid’s customers and other value chain partners before being reintroduced back into production. This approach is designed to minimize waste and preserve the value of high-quality aramid material for as long as possible.

At Enforce Tac 2022, Teijin Aramid is actively seeking to form alliances with likeminded partners to drive circularity and sustainability within the ballistics and protective materials value chain.
